Mural Art Process
The following artwork sketches showcase the process by which the final mural art was created. The idea here is to make the art the dominant feature, rather than the mural, if that makes sense.
The final mural artwork was designed to celebrate the concrete wall’s raw character by embracing a hand-drawn aesthetic. Rather than competing with the wall’s natural grey tones, the artwork works with them, using grey pencil-inspired illustrations that appear as though they have been sketched directly onto the surface.
This approach transforms an otherwise plain concrete backdrop into a playful oversized drawing/mural, adding personality, texture, and a sense of imagination while maintaining a cohesive connection to the surrounding environment.
