I was invited to submit an expression of interest in the Carine Community Parkland Public Art Project in Perth.

The Carine Community Parkland Public Art Project strongly aligns with my professional practice and core values of creating playful, inclusive artworks that establish a distinctive and meaningful sense of place. My work is driven by the belief that public art should enhance shared spaces while reflecting the identity and character of the communities that use them.
I have formal art school training and graduated with High Distinction, with a strong foundation in sculpture, colour theory, and compositional principles. This is complemented by an Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design, which has equipped me with comprehensive skills in client consultation, interpreting and responding to briefs, and clearly communicating and presenting design concepts. Together, these qualifications support the effective planning, delivery, and execution of public artworks to a consistently high professional standard.

My practice is centred on placemaking through public art, with a focus on enhancing public spaces and fostering community connection. Each project is carefully developed to improve the visual quality, functionality, and sense of identity of a site, ensuring the artwork contributes positively and durably to its environment.

I employ a combination of freehand spray painting and digital illustration throughout the design and delivery process. Digital illustration is used during the concept development stage to allow for accurate planning, stakeholder review, and clear visualisation prior to installation, supporting efficient project delivery while maintaining strong artistic integrity.
Collaboration is integral to my approach. I work closely with local councils, community groups, and key stakeholders to develop site-responsive artworks that align with community values and project objectives. I have also delivered commissioned works for national and international organisations, including Nike, Meta, and Porsche, demonstrating my ability to work within structured project frameworks and diverse stakeholder environments.

My experience spans a wide range of scales and surfaces, from traditional wall murals to large-scale public works, including ground murals and walls exceeding 60 metres in length, as well as smaller, highly detailed illustrations. This versatility allows my work to adapt effectively to a broad range of public settings and technical requirements.
Through my professional practice as a mural artist and creative placemaker, I am well-positioned to develop and weave a cohesive narrative across the four required project elements. This approach draws on the history, location, and identity of Carine Community Parkland, while responding thoughtfully to the broader design considerations of the park and its role as a shared community space.
