Street Art to Brighten Laneway
The laneway that ducks in behind the Blue Heron cafe in Moruya needed a positive lift by using street art through placemaking.
The laneway is an access point for a number of Moruya businesses. A couple of mechanics, tyre service and Mitre 10 and is used as a through fare for people sometimes going to IGA or the markets.
The area itself can at times have a feeling of neglect so creating street art and mural gives it a visual boost for people who use the area. The street art is also visible from the nearby roundabout which engages the viewer and creates interest in the area.
