Cronulla Walk the Walls Sreet Artist Festival
Street artist HAPPY DECAY was selected as a street artist to participate in the Cronulla Walk the Walls Street Art Festival.
The NSW Government funded the street art festival which Sutherland Shire Council managed. Walk the Walls was curated by Tim Phibs (a notable street artist).
The festival saw visitors walk the street art trail with live artists painting during December 9-11, to view the large-scale murals that brought colour to the streets of Cronulla.
The street art festival displayed artistic styles through graffiti, street art and murals. Artists came around the Sydney / Cronulla area as well as from interstate to help give a broad range of artist styles at the street art event.
Cronulla Murals
This street art now is part of a series of Cronulla murals that form a street art walk around some of the streets and laneways. This mural was located with a number of other artists on the top carpark at Cronulla Central.
The mural I painted in Cronulla was bright and quirky. It was influenced by a creative artistic lifestyle with a surf vibe too. I wanted the street art to be engaging and interesting for the viewer while also letting their imagination play a part in the mural too.
If you wish you can view other examples of my street art from other cities and towns around Australia.
